control system, fly-by-wire throttle and two-mode M Dynamic Driving Control. increase the CSL's power by 17hp to 360hp, BMW added a carbon fiber air box. steering wheel, quicker steering rack and uprated traction control of the CSL. Compared the previous E36 M3,. the E46 model gained new camshafts and an increased compression ratio, rising. rear glass, the CSL saved 110kg over the standard M3 Coupe with SMG gearbox. The CSL's cabin varies quite a lot from the standard M3s as. it ditches the electrically adjusted front seats in favor of deeper. the most powerful engine per litre BMW had then produced other than the McLaren. been repaired under warranty or had the engine replaced by BMW. of this, BMW asked CSL buyers to sign a disclaimer saying they understood the. In the SMG II 'box, the clutch is actuated by BMW's. the M Track mode where you'd normally expect the stereo controls. The M3 is subtly different to the standard 3 Series Coupe with flared wheel. It's expensive to replace from BMW,. These seats do without the side airbags of standard M3 models. The M3 CSL only came with the SMG gearbox, which is the same. to the standard M3 Coupe's 5. In the back, two individual seats are trimmed in the same cloth as the front. properly, including the illuminated M gear knob for the manual gearbox. will most likely need replacing by 80,000 miles. that allowed the rear of the car to oversteer more before intervening. the composite material boot is shaped to include a rear spoiler. The result of all this work was 343hp in a normally aspirated engine, which was. Also make sure the door seals fit and sit snugly to keep out. Coupled to this is a six-speed Getrag manual gearbox. Door locks need a slug of spray grease every six months to. avoid sticking. However, the rear arches have been known. The reality is the CSL managed this.

How long will this car last for? (Recently redone head)?

I am trying to buy a new car and I found this great looking bmw on Craigslist. It has everything I want and much, much more. The only thing Im worried about is how long it will last. I dont know too much about cars (just what I learned in the 2 years I took auto shop) so I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. The engine has 218k miles on it, but the head was redone at 200k- putting only 18,000 miles on the new head. I know that the head gaskets or head, or whatever is one of the main reasons engines die, but Im not sure how much longer it will last. Clutch is in good shape, was replaced before I owned it with OEM clutch, grabs really well. 218k on motor, but head redone by previous owner at 200k. I will also throw in another OBC, a spare wheel and tire, and jack if needed. Synthetic Oil Change done 2k ago, NEW Oil Filter included Thanks in advance!


it will last as long as you want it to last. If you think this car will be repair free your are a fool. If you maintaine the carproperly and you fix it when it breaks it will last forever.

bmw e36 1999 318i heater vent position doesn't move?

my bmw e36 318i vent blower has issue , i have the climate control all working blows hot and cold as it should all lights and display work as they should ac works fine but i can only get air blowing from the floor vents when i push the buttons for middle or windscreen vents it doesn't move at all stays blowing from the floor. i can't hear the vents change direction as they should any advice as to what the problem may be would be great


LOOK under the dash. You have probably snapped off the metering arm that controls how air is sent. LOOK there first. It's an easy fix

    Like the product; don't run at max volume

I like the design: it has an audio jack, the volume knob has good dynamic range before clipping, and the unit is physically compact compared to its replacement. I set the volume as high as it would go to drive 200 feet of cable (about 9 ohms) and after a month it started clicking and went up in smoke. Two resistors (one per channel) on the output filters blew because the tripath amplifier chip somehow became damaged. So I rated it a bit lower because I can't trust the overcurrent protection to save it. Used the remains for spare parts.     Thought I would write a review since there are none. I bought this amp on November 1, 2011 and sold it in February 2012. they were hooked up to 2 12" mtx 1000 watt subwoofers, some old school ones that had a red rubber surround and are hard to find now, for about a month. After i sold them and hooked up to 2 12" power acoustik mofo 12" subwoofers.I can not stick to a system for long, always wanting to try new things. This amp was pushing all the subs hard. Head hurting bass not trunk rattling loud bass that you could hear and not feel. When i would play in my driveway i could see my house windows shaking 15 feet away, photo frames inside the house shaking, and my fence would be vibrating as well. For the price this amp was great but i dont think it actually puts out 1800 watts rms at 2 ohm. more like 1400rms or less but around there and 1000rms at 4 ohm. Some people don't like that you have to take off the metal sides to wire up the amp, but i actually think it's great.
